self-defense

Taekwondo is a martial art centered on weaponless self-defense. It involves using our limbs for physical actions and our intellect for tactical thinking. This class primarily focuses on imparting the skills needed to protect oneself from attacks.

In Taekwondo, practitioners often learn forms, which are referred to as Poomsae in Korean. These forms consist of choreographed self-defense techniques. However, in this class, we go beyond the choreography, breaking down each movement and delving into their practical applications for self-defense.

This class is particularly well-suited for individuals who have already acquired knowledge of a few forms and are ready to understand how these specific movements can be effectively utilized in real-life self-defense situations. We strongly encourage participants with Green Belts or higher ranks to engage in this class, as it offers a wealth of informative insights.
